I am a freelance writer for a couple of publications in the Lowcountry. I generally write about entertainment, real estate and fitness. Before moving to South Carolina, I was a journalism instructor at Ball State University, teaching sophomores and juniors how to research, interview and observe as journalists.

I graduated from Ball State University with my master’s degree in Digital Storytelling. My thesis project was a short-form documentary and my research focused on local news’ use of the Web and multimedia. I also co-authored an award-winning academic paper focusing on gender issues in television newsrooms.  I have experience in reporting, copy editing, producing, project management and Web development.
